COHORT: The primary beneficiaries of this platform are households in rural and remote regions of Canada; however, we are currently scaling up the platform to include jurisdictions outside Canada.
PROCESS: The development and implementation of the platform incorporates the Smart Framework that integrates citizen science, community-based participatory research, and systems science. The scalability and replicability of the platform prioritizes data sovereignty of citizens, and decentralization of technology.
Remote Infectious Disease Management
APPROACH: We are implementing a digital health platform that offers households the ability to manage real-time risk of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
CONTEXT: The technology was conceptualized in the initial days of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide households with the ability to manage their risk. It is now being expanded to encapsulate risk management beyond COVID-19.
